The ugged KAILANI SHAKA 35 Cooler. Our mid-size rotomolded cooler has a rugged and practical design that is perfect for any outing. This has a capacity of 35 quarts (33.1 liters) and can hold up to 56 cans plus ice.

HEAVY-DUTY LATCHES AND HINGES: Engineered with robust rubber latches and stainless-steel hinges, this cooler is built to withstand rigorous use. The secure latch system ensures a tight seal, locking in the cold while preventing leaks and odors.
NON-SLIP FEET AND HANDLES: With non-slip, traction-grip feet, the cooler remains stable even on uneven or slippery surfaces. The handles molded for a grip so they’re comfortable to hold, allowing for easy transport, even when fully loaded. The handles are also removable.

BEST COOLER PERFORMANCE
To keep your cooler performing at its best, we recommend to use a 2:1 ratio between ice and drinks (2/3 ice, 1/3 drinks). It is a good idea to pre-chill the cooler with ice before filling with contents and using it. The ice will be sacrificed to initially chill the cooler down.

We needed a lockable cooler for a 6-day camping trip in bear country, and this one exceeded all our expectations. The build quality is outstanding—solid, durable, and clearly made to last. It seals completely airtight, which we discovered firsthand while driving through the Rockies: the change in air pressure made it impossible to open until we released the vacuum by opening the drain cap. That’s a testament to how well it seals! We felt confident storing food in it, knowing it was super sealed and bear-resistant. Highly recommended for serious campers.
I've tried all the competitors and Kailani are far superior. Yeti and Chilly Moose didn't stand up Kailani. Was always disappointed with the other ones and how long the ice would last. Not with Kailani! My latest use had ice 5 days later! My search is finally over :) Very happy with this cooler. Money well spent.
I recently purchased the model 60 and took a 6 day back country camping trip with it in our canoe. The performance of this cooler was absolutely amazing, we were shocked with how much ice was left when we finally got back home.
I pre-chilled the cooler the night before by putting a bag of ice in it then replacing it in the morning. We filled about 25% of the space with ice, using frozen 1.8 litre bottles in a single layer and ice cubes to fill the remaining holes. We filled the rest of the cooler with food, some of it was frozen. At the end of day 6, the bottle in the middle was still frozen solid and the rest were about half frozen with a few ice cubes remaining as well. I wouldnt have been suprised if the ice didnt last another 2 to 3 days! For context the temperatures during our trip were highs around 25 degrees Celsius.
In conclusion I would give this cooler a 5 star plus rating. The rubber molded handles are very comfortable and are fixed in the middle of the strap. It provides 2 metal reinforced locking points to keep critters out. The cooler is very solid construction. The only negative thing I could say is, for the type of back country trip we took, this cooler fully loaded was very heavy!
